A message from Pastor Ray:
In August of 1996, I was sitting in my living room packing boxes for the family move to Gettysburg, PA and seminary. The Lutheran magazine came in the mail that day and what I found was an article that would shape my ministry, although I didn’t know it at the time.
"Pioneering on the Prairie" was the name of the article, an article about Tri-County Ministry. Two years later I was once again packing boxes. This time the move would be to Hannaford, ND where I would be serving as the Intern for a year in Tri-County Ministry. Two years later, as luck and the Holy Spirit would have it, I was called to Tri-County as pastor.
Serving Tri-County since 2000, I have seen some amazing things take place in our congregations. Some good, some bad, many happy, a few sad. Through it all, I have seen the work of the Spirit as we constantly explore new way of doing collaborative ministry. Our Mission Statement, in part reads, “To breath new live and growth into communities and churches that have been dealing with declining populations. Jesus Christ is the hope we bring to all people.” We are doing that on a regular basis. Jesus Christ is the hope; Tri-County is the beacon that brings that hope to rural North Dakota .
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you will join us in worship on Sunday morning.
