A message from Theresa:
In October of 1992, members from the eight congregations
of the newly formed Tri-County Ministry gathered on the shores of the lake at
Red Willow Bible Camp, rural Binford. The occasion was the installation service
for the first staff of our cooperative parish.
The day was gorgeous. The sun was shining across the lake, and the congregation was surrounded by fall colors. A parish choir and the congregation filled the crisp autumn air with music.
But the high point of the service came at the moment when the staff was invited up onto the flatbed trailer for the installation ceremony. A sudden breeze – a shower of leaves. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that moment. We all knew then that the winds of the Holy Spirit were blowing in Tri-County Ministry. We knew that we had been blessed to be a blessing.
May the winds of the Holy Spirit continue to blow in our communities and beyond, and may the peace of the Lord be with all of us.
