Trinity of Cooperstown has now called a pastor. He will begin serving them on August 15, 2010. Trinity will technically remain a part of TCM until the end of 2010 because of their commitment to meet their 2010 budget commitment to the parish. They will no longer be a part of the TCM preaching schedule or any programming within TCM.
Mabel of Sutton took their first vote on August 1 on whether or not to leave the ELCA. More than the required two-thirds of the votes were in favor of continuing the process of leaving the ELCA. The congregation will now follow the requirements as outlined in the constitution of the ELCA, including meeting with the Bishop of the END Synod, and then holding a second vote not less than 90 days from their first vote.
The TCM Task Force has continued to meet, and will bring options for staffing and budgeting to the TCM Council in August.
